The Waterstof Onderneming Gelderland [Gelderland Hydrogen Enterprise Institute] has been set up to implement the HyMove project. It is responsible for the technical implementation of the various parts, the progress of the project and for communication. The institute is responsible for the financial management of the project and will enter into collaborative agreements with all the other organisations that will be involved in the project. The Waterstof Onderneming Gelderland is therefore also the contracting party for the province, the urban region, the municipality and the companies involved.
The day-to-day leadership of the institute is in the hands of Jan van Beckhoven who, as alderman for the municipality of Apeldoorn, was responsible for introducing the Whisper, an electrically-driven bus. The institute's chairman is Theo Hendriks. The other members of the board are Jan Piet van der Meer from NedStack (secretary), Jacques Smolenaars from HyGear, Arend Heinen from e-Traction and Wim Weijers from Boon Accountants.
The HyMove project is financed by the Province of Gelderland, the Arnhem-Nijmegen Urban Region, the Municipality of Arnhem and the participating companies. Together they have contributed 2,610,000 euros for the initial phase of the project. The second phase will call on the Rijden op Waterstof [Running on Hydrogen] pilot project from Agentschap NL, which is intended for the development and acceptance of hydrogen technology in practical mobile applications such as passenger cars, trucks, buses and mobile machinery.
