At the moment HyMove is setting up HyMove B.V., which will be involved on a commercial basis in producing emission-free buses running on hydrogen in accordance with the HyMove concept. HyMove B.V. will look after the production of buses powered by fuel cells, entirely electric buses with a fast-charge system, and buses that can run on electricity with a small diesel generator as a range extender.

HyMove is talking to various parties about supplying such emission-free buses. “The feasibility of emission-free running is being discussed with a number of external parties at the moment. We expect that within a few months we will have a clearer idea of which parties will actually be purchasing buses”, says Theo Hendriks, joint founder of HyMove B.V.

HyMove is working on developing emission-free buses along with e-Traction, a company from Apeldoorn that specialises in electric drives for various types of electric vehicles. Also supporting the development of the buses is MTSA Technopower from Arnhem, which designs, develops and builds special equipment, machines and installations such as fuel cells for a wide range of applications. The fuel cells in the HyMove bus are supplied by NedStack, which is also situated in Arnhem.
“We make use of our partners’ knowledge in developing the main components of the buses, such as the electric drive and the fuel cell system”, says Hendriks. “This proved to be successful previously during the development of the first HyMove bus.”
